Comchest Heartstrings Walk – 3rd August 2014

Thirty eight Metta students and 2 teachers were grateful to join the ComChest Heartstrings Walk (4km) at Marina Bay Sands. The most challenging for our students was coming to school as early as 6.30 a.m. on Sunday to board the bus. We are thankful that our students’ parents gave their consent and support the physical and mental well being of their children. Group of 10 students were hosted by Starhub (our donor) and the rest of the students were supported by another corporate donor.

It was indeed a pleasant early morning walk and students were having great fun (they were accompanied by volunteers). Surprisingly, some of our students were able to complete the walk an hour. What an achievement! Of course, “Hurray” to all our students for their resilient.

We would like to thank StarHub staffs for the support and refreshments. Also, we thank the volunteers (see picture, in blue t-shirts) for guiding our students during the walk. Metta School supports the holistic development of students ; to lead a meaningful and independent life. We thank Mr Anuwar, our Vice Principal, for making sure we all participated in this great walk. Also, we would like to thank Mdm So, our Principal, who “sms” to make sure “students wear their Metta PE t-shirt”. Why not? We are proud our students from Metta took up the challenge on a Sunday morning, wearing their Metta School T-shirt, so that everyone knows “We Can Do It!”.
