Speech Therapy

The speech therapist in the school:

  • Identifies and assesses students with communication difficulties who require school-based speech therapy intervention
  • Provides intervention to enhance students’ communication skills necessary for participation in the curriculum
  • Assists the education team to adjust communication demands of the curriculum to ensure student participation and achievement of educational goals
  • Consults with and provides resources to school staff, caregivers and the school community
