Shine Night 2019

8 November 2019 marked the 14th Metta Shine Night at Singapore University of Technology and Design. Through the Performing and Visual Arts (PVA) Programme which has started in 2003, Metta School students are given the opportunities to explore, acquire and develop skills in their PVA. Shine Night has been a valuable occasion to bring out their talents.

Students’ visual arts talents were displayed at the art exhibition with a new feature this year, a bread sculpture. Metta School’s Lion Dance troupe welcomed guests followed by an opening speech by Venerable Shi Pu En, Chairman of School Management Committee; and Mr Ee Tiang Hwee, School Supervisor and Honorary Secretary for Metta Welfare Association.

The spectacular show put up by the performing arts groups wowed the audience. Their dance and musical talents were impressive. It was heartwarming to see that all students were able to present their shine from within as they performed on stage. Indeed, each student represent a star in the night, and together they would shine bright, painting a beautiful picture in the sky.
