Responsibilities

Overview of critical work functions

  • Conduct Psychological Assessments
  • Deliver Interventions
  • Support with Individual Education Plan and Transition Plan
  • Manage Crisis Situations
  • Undertake Research and Continuous Improvement
  • Provide Supervision
  • Collaborate with Internal and External Stakeholders
  • Maintain Professional, Legal and Ethical Standards
  • Uplift Professional Practice of Psychology in Education
  • Maintains proper case records and relevant documents of students.
  • Submits school admission data to MOE Special Education Branch on designated dates.
  • Proposes and justifies budget for the appropriate programme
  • Purchases relevant assessment tools and other resource materials required for psychological services.
  • Keep proper inventory of all assessment tools and other resource materials required for psychological services and regular updating.
  • Participates in staff bonding activities organized by the school.
  • Be a role model to students, uphold the professional and personal qualities required of the educational profession to achieve the best student outcomes.
  • Embrace the values of openness, collaboration, and lifelong learning as a staff of the school.
  • Carries out any other duties as assigned by the Head of Department or Principal.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Educational or Clinical Psychology from a recognised higher education institution.
  • Preferably registered with Singapore Psychological Society (SPS).
  • At least 1 -2 years of working experience in social service sector.
  • Has passion to work with children with special needs and their families.
  • Good team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
