Educational Model

Basic Programme

Students are equipped with foundational skills, so that they have greater learning success as they grow up.

The B-Programme curriculum aims to equip students, aged 7 to 12, with foundational skills, so that they have greater learning success as they grow up.

Students in the Lower B learn in a class with a lower teacher to student ratio so that each student gets more attention and support.  While academics are important and take up a significant portion of the curriculum time, emphasis is also placed on Daily Living Skills, focusing more on Self-care.  During Home Economics, students are taught to prepare simple snacks for themselves.  Personal Management covers basic personal hygiene and organisational skills.  Character-building through values education is also pivotal to start young, given it is the common denominator that will enable a student to achieve all his/her dreams and aspirations.

Upper B classes has more students, with a maximum of 15 in a class.  Academics are given more curriculum time and less for Daily Living Skills.  Personal Management lessons will now focus more on Home-living, Health and Leisure.  During Character and Citizenship lessons, the priority will shift to social-emotional learning.  Digital-readiness skills are also explicitly taught during Science and Technology lessons.  Â
