The Metta School Junior Programme Open House was held on Friday, 24 March 2023. The Open House aimed at providing information about the junior programmes offered by Metta School. These are ASD specific programmes and MID Programmes (mild intellectual disability). A brief introduction to the School Vision, Mission and Values, and more importantly, the educational pathways in Metta School were presented to give parents a clear idea about the educational progression for students in our school.Â
The Heads of Programme presented their programme specific curriculum for the junior and senior years, highlighting possible transitions from the ASD specific programme to the MID programme. Information on application and admissions was also presented by the psychologist during the Open House.
As performing arts is one of our signature programmes, students from the Dance, Circus Arts and Angklung groups performed for our guests. Their performances were well received. The audience were amazed at our students’ confidence and talent.
The programme for the day also included a school tour, to enable our guests to view some of the school facilities. A few of our staff became tour leaders and brought our guests to the various vocational training rooms, visual art rooms and classrooms. Positive feedback was received at the end of the Open House whereby guests felt that information presented gave them a clear picture of school life in Metta School and its curriculum.
