We are happy to announce that Maitri Programme started officially on the 22nd March 2021, at the interim site at Metta HQ building, together with Metta School at Simei street 1.
On 18 November 2019, MOE announced that Metta is setting up another Special Education School – Maitri School (Year 2024). Maitri means “Loving Kindness” in Sanskrit. The new school building is anticipated to be ready in the year 2024. In the interim, Maitri programme will be housed in the current Metta School and Metta Welfare Association building at Simei Street 1.
We believe that all children on the spectrum are unique and their needs are different from one another. We will try our best to meet the needs of our students and design a student – centric curriculum.
The subjects offered for the junior students in Maitri Programme are:

- Home Living & Home Economics
- Adapted Physical Education
- Performing & Visual Arts
